Ford GT90

This is one of those cars I can't help but to wonder - what if...
I remember seeing this car in Need For Speed 2 game and immediately it was my favorite car in game. That futuristic (for the time) sharp angles and of course it's active rear wing was mind blowing for me as a kid. What's funny I'm not even a big fan of Ford company but that concept along with GT40 is one of the most awesome cars in my book.

 Introduced by Ford in 1995, designed to showcase the future of high-performance sports cars. This bold design was a precursor to the legendary Ford GT supercar that would be launched a decade later.It also gained significant attention from automotive enthusiasts thanks to a memorable appearance on Top Gear. In an episode of the popular British television show, Jeremy Clarkson was given the chance to drive a prototype of the GT90, which helped bring even more attention to the car. Clarkson, known for his bold and often humorous commentary, was impressed by the car’s performance and outlandish design.

The unique combination of power from the 4.6 L, quad-turbocharged V8 engine and the cutting-edge materials used in its construction made it a marvel in the eyes of both Clarkson and viewers. The GT90’s performance, which was extraordinary even for a car of its time, had Clarkson describing it as a supercar of the future, even if it was ultimately just a concept vehicle. I doubt Ford would've been able to package 720 hp in that car,while keeping it cool and reliable.

The interior was equally impressive for the time, with a driver-focused cockpit that emphasized technology and luxury. While the Ford GT90 never made it to production, it played a significant role in establishing Ford's commitment to high-performance sports cars. Its influence would eventually lead to the creation of the Ford GT that debuted in the mid-2000s, paying homage to Ford's racing heritage and continuing the legacy of American muscle cars on the world stage. 

Along with NFS2 ,GT90 made an unforgettable appearance in Gran Turismo 2. In the game, the GT90 was featured as a high-performance, exotic car that players could unlock in one of special events. Its inclusion in Gran Turismo 2 introduced the futuristic design and incredible performance of the GT90 to a whole new generation of gamers and car enthusiasts like myself. The car’s inclusion in the game further elevated the Ford GT90's status in automotive culture, keeping it alive in the hearts of fans long after its concept debut.
